Following our debut showing at the Schools & Academies Show at the ExCel in London, in May 2023, we were contacted by Oakley CE Combined School the proceeding month. We had met with the Bursar, Joanne, briefly whilst exhibiting there. The school asked us to come up and visit to help them find a solution to replace an existing, rotten and dilapidated outdoor classroom area, outside the Robins classroom.
Having visited and met with Iola and discussed and noted exactly what the school and Owls class teacher wanted for this area, we went back to the office and designed something bespoke for the area, to fit with the schools specific brief provided.
After a revision to the design and some other updates to the quote, the school green lighted us to proceed with things and make the project become a reality!
As you can see, this bespoke Outdoor Classroom has many additional features, including bespoke half clad, half trellis sides, bespoke planters to the front of the classroom and bespoke seating and wipeable perspex tables within the structure too!
The project was successful completed at the start of November 2023 and the children had this to say on the new addition to their school…
“It is really good. We can be outside learning even when it is raining. The tables are actually whiteboards so we can write on them!”
The school also mentioned this – “Sawscapes Play have created this bespoke structure for us and we are thrilled with the result.”
