Bird World has been a family attraction for over 50 years, well established and loved by generations. After recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, the owners decided they wanted to extend the current picnic area, to house some low level play equipment for younger children. A great idea and way to help keep the little ones entertained, whilst their adults had a rest. The chosen location was unused and already had bark surfacing in place with a timber framed toddler swing set so we knew we could create something to fit the remaining available space that would keep little explorers busy!
The Play Tractor (seen here with no roof so as to deter larger children from climbing) with accompanying trailer, provides imaginative play for up to six children at any one time. It sits proudly amongst the existing picnic tables and features timber embellishments and HDPE headlight plastics and steering wheel.
We also included a low level trim trail to the area, including a Log Weaver, Crag Walk, Balance Beam and Rubber Stepping Posts to provide an element of challenge for toddlers who love to climb and seek adventure.
All products shown here were designed and manufactured by our team of incredible people. We take pride in providing safe, vibrant, engaging play equipment for children of all abilities, that will last for 20 years. Every piece of play equipment conforms to BS EN 1176, which is the British & European Safety Standard. All posts are installed into the ground, onto steel feet, to aid prevention of ground rot, unless specified otherwise.
The play area was open just in time for the school holidays and is now enjoyed by little children, while their families lunch!
