In early 2021, Stanmore Primary School contacted us about their KS1 Play Area. They had removed an old climbing unit and safety surfacing due to rot.

We visited the site to discuss options with the school. After careful consideration, they chose our Pico Eagle Log Climber for the first phase of the project. The Early Years Lead was particularly impressed with the open-ended play it provided, knowing it would captivate the children.

The Pico Eagle Log Climber offers significant active play benefits, encouraging children to climb, balance, and traverse various log configurations. These activities help develop gross motor skills, build strength, and improve coordination. The open-ended design allows children to approach the climber in multiple ways, fostering creativity and problem-solving as they navigate the structure.

Additionally, the climber promotes social play, as children collaborate and take turns, building communication and teamwork skills. The natural wood design blends beautifully with the outdoor environment, making it an inviting and engaging centrepiece for the play area.

The school was delighted with the outcome, confident the Pico Eagle would provide years of fun and developmental benefits for their students.

We completed the installation at Stanmore Primary School in January 2022. We also laid Autumn Blend Bound Rubber Mulch for safety, meeting BS EN 1176 and BS EN 1177 standards.

The school was impressed with our work. After the KS1 installation, they invited us to create a new KS2 Trim Trail. This was located at the top of their school field.

We finished the KS2 area in August 2022. It included a Log Weaver, Rattle Bridge, Wiggle Ropes, Vine Ropes, Rubber Stepping Posts, and later, a Mini Mountain!
