Ordnance House serves military families, offering welfare support, toddler groups, and family fun days. The garden’s old metal equipment had reached its end, and they wanted something more adventurous for all ages. With no space restrictions, we explored various possibilities during our initial visit. Key priorities included a toddler scooter track, imaginative play, accessible swings, and a unique trim trail.
The installation began in June 2022, with Phase 1 featuring the Buccaneer Pirate Ship, Mini Playhouse, Inclusive Swing Set, and Wetpour Scooter Track. We removed old equipment and expanded the base for the new play unit.
In Phase 2, we installed the Pico Eagle, Mini Mountain, and trim trail items like Combo Crawl, Crag Walk, Log Weaver, and Rope Weaver. After two weeks of adjustments and planning, the play area was ready for the returning groups in September.
