In early 2022, the National Trust contacted us about the play area at Grey’s Court, Henley-on-Thames. The existing equipment needed replacement due to rot and safety non-compliance. The play area was in a woodland with a steep gradient and many Ash trees, making it a challenging site.

The client wanted natural-looking equipment that blended with the surroundings. We proposed replacing it with our Treehouse Tower, the Hawthorn. This unit features extended posts and angled timbers that resemble branches, with green HDPE panels engraved with leaves.

The proposal for Grey’s Court was approved in March 2022. We began the technical drawings and manufacturing process, allowing for a longer slide due to the site’s gradient.

We completed the installation of the Hawthorn in May 2022. We’ve since revisited the site to consider extending the play area and further developments.
