Bird World has been a family attraction for over 50 years, loved by generations. After recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, the owners decided to expand the picnic area. They wanted to add low-level play equipment for younger children, giving them a place to play while parents rest.

The chosen spot was unused and already had bark surfacing and a toddler swing set. We knew we could design something perfect for the remaining space and keep little explorers busy!

The Play Tractor (built without a roof to deter older children from climbing) comes with an attached trailer. It provides imaginative play for up to six children at a time. Set among the picnic tables, it features timber embellishments, HDPE headlights, and a steering wheel.

We also added a low-level trim trail at Bird World, including a Log Weaver, Crag Walk, Balance Beam, and Rubber Stepping Posts. These features provide an exciting challenge for toddlers, encouraging them to climb, balance, and explore in a safe and engaging environment.

Our team designed and built all the play equipment featured in this area, taking pride in crafting inclusive, vibrant spaces for children of all abilities. Every piece is constructed to meet the BS EN 1176 safety standard and is built to last for 20 years. For added durability, the posts are installed on steel feet to prevent ground rot unless otherwise specified.

The play area was completed just in time for the school holidays, and it has quickly become a favorite destination. Children now enjoy exploring the equipment while families relax!
